Anxiety

Fear of moving on,
Fear of remaining stagnant.
Living in a world where it's all in your head.
Where the solution lies not in the pills that you're being fed,
But in the freeing of your mind.

The scars lining her wrist tell a tale of a journey,
They tell a story full of grief and strife.
They are the unwritten words of my life.

Living in a society,
That's telling you how to look,
How to think,
Who to be,
Why wouldn't we have anxiety?

Don't worry about what others say,
Because at the end of the day,
We are our biggest enemy.
Our biggest battle is believing.

Believing that we are worth it,
Because you are worth it.
I am worth it.
