Anxiety

Waves crash around, darkness surrounds from within
Heavy thoughts like rocks pulling me down
Fight, fight, I cannot let this sickness win

The tempest rages in this sea of sin
The current is strong, I fear I may drown
Waves crash around, darkness surrounds from within

Overwhelmed, my mind in a downward tailspin
I embrace the storm like a laughing clown
Fight, fight, I cannot let this sickness win

Looks of encouragement from concerned kin
The only expression I see is a frown
Waves crash around, darkness surrounds from within

The water now starts tasting like gin
Forget the world, just twirl in my gown
Fight, fight, I cannot let this sickness win

I do not listen to others, my mind my kingpin
I no longer rule my mind, the tempest takes my crown
Waves crash around, darkness surrounds from within
Fight, fight, I cannot let this sickness win
