Apathetic Music

Incessant, inconsequential, insignificant iterations, I’ll drown them out
Deconstructive, destructive, deprived dramas, I’ll drown them out
Trapped in a trite trance? ‘tis my terrible trait? Try more tenaciously
I’ll still drown them out
A pathetic prequel to perverseness. Please, I’ll drown that out
Apathetic abominable adversary amidst angst and animosity,
Are you satisfied? Not to hurt your pride; I drowned them all out
In all honesty, you’d best stop wasting your time; have a time out
For I feel not your feelings, nor do you mine; facts I spout aren’t pouts
Marching to the music is all I mind and care about
Laud, leer, lament loudly on all levels, I’ll drown them all out aloud
Whether you a lady or a lout, I’ll drown them all aloud
As if I care if it’s allowed
The beat and rhythm runs on and on as I drown you all out.

This Poems Story

Tells a little bit about the apathetic side of me, most often, but not always triggered by blaring music in my earphones, drowning out any and everything from the outside world as I delve into the music.
