We said no strings attached,
and I still became latched,
still got tangled in your words,
and told myself it wouldn't hurt,
disregarded all the warnings,
I suppose I am still learning,
now the knots are undone,
the strings have been untied,
I've tried a million times,
to understand how you could have lied,
I won't deny the pain,
or feeling a little insane,
I let myself get burned twice,
by the same unchanging flame,
so who is there to blame,
I knew it from the start,
there was no chance of you changing,
or you not breaking my heart.
