One must often wonder what appearance sake is for
When objects often seem less, or even more.
A large sack of feed which only weights ten pounds.
A grizzly looking beast who's as gentle as a hound.
Loving words seem harsh to the inexperienced ear.
Laughter often shines in a single sparkling tear.
So why trust what one sees, or even what they hear?
The lesson learned is simple, things aren't always as they appear.
