Apocalyptic mirror

By

Keep you distance and be safe
These are their words, but not what they portray.
Don’t go to work, don’t worry about your pay.
It will all be good, don’t congregate and pray.
Cover your face and don’t say a word,
We are all minorities, this is absurd.
Everyone wants to protest, no one is safe.
If you say a word, then you hate.
Being at home is fun, that’s what they say.
Does it really matter
If there’s nowhere left for the kids to play.
Loot and burn, tear our world apart.
This is not the end, it’s only the start.
Media has set the timer, bomb will explode.
If it does not, many will implode.
Children pay the price, can’t comprehend.
Parents no longer there, this may be the end.
My optimism grows dark, light getting dim.
Fear for the worst, the world looks grim.
Essentially working, outside the looking glass.
From my stand point, right now...we’re all lower class.
