By Sparkle

It was sitting on the table
Glistening in the sunlight
With its tender crisp skin
And juicy interior
It tempted me with its sweet scent
Bribed me to come over and indulge
It jumped in excitement as I slowly drew near the table
The apple was ready to be broken into
To have its purpose in life resolved
Yet at the last moment a whisper made me pause
My feet moved away toward a different room
My thoughts diverting
To leave the apple sitting once more

This Poems Story

I wrote this poem as a practice, since it has been a long time since I have written any poetry. I put a special meaning in it but it is up to interpretation by the reader.
