April

And the wind blows from the west on and on and on
I wish I was lighter so I could jump up
Into the air and have it carry me away
Carry me away oh west winds
Carry me home to San Diego
Where my April may be
Maybe she's by the sand and sea
Or maybe she's at her one bedroom apartment making a cup of green tea
She had so much soul, she's too beautiful for me
I feel sad for the last time we talked, too young for you
I stalked
Now you remain a memory in my mind
I'm left wishing I could've made you mine
So I pray and pray each day
That I'll be able to fly far away
Following the winds when they blow west
And maybe be with you again someday
Until then the wind blows west, on and on
