Arachne

Arachne

Even as a girl
she had power
to intersect.
The jealous gods
sent their best
to test her
intricate design.
The narrative
of her tapestry
so enraged
her blushing
nemesis,
the goddess
condemned her to
metamorphosis.
Now, in the dew
of recreation
she spins her
delicate threads
of symmetry,
defining a light
otherwise
unimaginable.
