Arise oh sleeping beauty
Compassing round about her they cried,
Arise oh sleeping beauty
Their eyes filled with tears wide
Wake up, must we make a treaty
Beauty it is day, they wept
Must the mighty end like this?
Must the living end like this?
Purple hibiscus stop, wait
Must you gradually fade away
We are all calling, arise oh sleeping beauty
The life you lived was full of pain
Of course you were an angel in the rain
For years gone by you suffered
There must be a cure, so you hoped
Vehemently moving forward
You deserve an applaud
Finally must it be like this,
Loosing a battle you fought,
Going to the other side in peace
Please don't go, everybody cried
We still need you by our side
Oh the sun has turned cold, her mother wept in shrouds
Wake up, arise oh sleeping beauty
Arise oh sleeping beauty
Their eyes filled with tears wide
Wake up, must we make a treaty
Beauty it is day, they wept
Must the mighty end like this?
Must the living end like this?
Purple hibiscus stop, wait
Must you gradually fade away
We are all calling, arise oh sleeping beauty
The life you lived was full of pain
Of course you were an angel in the rain
For years gone by you suffered
There must be a cure, so you hoped
Vehemently moving forward
You deserve an applaud
Finally must it be like this,
Loosing a battle you fought,
Going to the other side in peace
Please don't go, everybody cried
We still need you by our side
Oh the sun has turned cold, her mother wept in shrouds
Wake up, arise oh sleeping beauty
