Arms Opened Wide

Arms opened wide

Dreamer of Heavens door opened wide came forth a voice hidden
I open my arms wide to you A love given .
Words strengthened promises given do not be afraid all would be alright
Not many days A accident was driven life's shattered head on
Precious moments with God I asked for the life of another to be
spared .
Bloodstained cross imprinted upon the place I rested a reminder that
once was long ago .sure the presence was who carries me
He replied Angels had arrived to rescue for the Enemy had come

Visions of rainbow spheres singing across the river upon the feet of God
Words of love I did hear you must return your work is undone

For the diamond of his heart must go on shining forth for All to see My
Arms opened wide
Enemy battled for each soul Angels taking the wounded upon
The wings that swiftly in flight where life laid balanced of space
And time .
Voice of one to say your life you shall lose today No fear only sweet rest
Hours of time quickly passed by .
breath of life awakened from its hour of death

Arms opened wide awaited to see truth and faith raised from its grave the
Promise of his eternal love shall never forsake
Heavens door opened wide vision's of glory spoken all is well

Be not afraid trust and believe your life is now in me we share the same
From glory to glory in your faith you did see
Head on I was there light shining warm upon your face my love filled
Your air.

Life and death comes to all I shall love for all eternity my live will never
Where you laid your head was left a bloodstained cross a reminder
No life can be taken till your work is done
Arms opened wide from before the beginning of time I knew you from the womb
of life
You were always to be mine

Angels follow every step you taken watching protecting to save
Life and death will always be from time to eternity
I open my arms wide one day you will see my eternal love that brought you to me
Always remember there is no greater love than from the one who created
My arms opened wide I give to you I carry you upon my stripes your healing
Forever be ,I am thine and thine are mine
My plans to bless you showing the world my love within you a hearts diamond from
its throne of grace I open my arms wide.

I identify with many of the sentiments in this poem. I like the practical aspects of being female but need to be outside. Iris difficult to be view as something other than fitting the mold.

  10. Zipper Wheel says:

Short poems are brilliant and difficult to master. The greatest talent is saying more with less, saying more than personal experience, saying something irrefutably human. I should practice this more myself, but I find it a greater treasure to me to create lyrics than to free myself and others with beautiful concise truths.

  11. Megha Chatterjee says:

I think that such poems can beautifully say a lot of things that cannot be verbally explained to people. The way your friends or relationships hurt you, a pen and paper and a poetic mind can reduce your pain. I love the power of poem writing process..

  12. April Duboce says:

Angelique, this is bold, descriptive and beautiful. I am very sorry for the pain you went through and are still experiencing. I was raped for 4 1/2 months after my amputation. Stay strong, keep writing and know you are loved by people you don’t even know. You are a strong and courageous woman, deserving of kind and respectful love. I pray this happens for you. I will try to upload my poem about abuse to my page. Sending you hugs, strength and love.

  13. April Duboce says:

Stacy, this is beautiful. I hear and see the meaning beneath. To heal together with this wounded bird. I can tell you have an incredibly loving soul. I wish I could meet you.

  14. April Duboce says:

Michael, this is so very special. The love between a son and a mother is different, yet strong. I’m thrilled you had such a wonderful Mom. Your vulnerability and the integrity of this poem tell me enough about your character. You ARE a good man
