Around The Corner

Tragedy seems to always happen around the corner...
Did it find its way home or just happen by?
Or released around a certain corner as a warning...
It usually won't stay, but it has been known to return...

Choices of selfishness and hate may put tragedy in motion...
Leading it back to its origin or somewhere near...
Tragedies' journey may only be seen after the fact.
When contemplation overrides self indulgence...

A self indulged political stand, an act of indifference to man...
There may be many ways to awaken tragedy from its sleep...
And just as many ways for it to visit around any corner...
In reality we all live around the corner from someone else...

Sadness around the corner may have just journeyed home...
Displaying its unpredictable, but inevitable homing instincts...
It may not return today or tomorrow, but return it shall.
Visiting the owner of indulgence, or another down their line...

I don't know the number of indulgences or even their unseen results.
When tragedy does visit life, we can always say "Why?"
With prior contemplation we can realize one thing that is true...
Sadness can find any corner, even a corner that including you...
