Around the yard
Around the block
Throughout the city
The county, the state
Out the land
Out the nation
Out the people
The country, the state
Gone the world
Gone the worlds
Enter the darkness
Comes the hate

This Poems Story

It's short, simple, and I believe to the point of describing how situations, whether social or political, can deteriorate. The first use of the word state refers to a subdivision of a nation while the second use of the word refers to the whole nation itself. What begins by going around transitions to what takes out because darkness and hatred are not always recognized until its too late, and all we know is gone.
