As Broken As Me

I desire to feel your warmth
Not the heat from my mainframe
Put fingers on skin not on broken keys

Transmitted through a screen
Caressing each other, though never quite seen
Singing through speakers and microphones
Our embraces engraved in pixels and paint
Leaving behind all that we've known
For the sake of changing our colors, so faint

I desire to feel your warmth
Not the heat from my mainframe
And to put you back together piece by piece

We're climbing mountains of love letters
Pursing our lips as if it gets better
Weeping into piles of paper shreds
Crawling on pencil stubs and inkless pens
Intertwined legs and forehead osculations
Undefined heads and foreign observations

I desire to feel your warmth
Not the heat from my mainframe
I've been searching the planet
For someone as broken as me
