As I Burn

I am sixteen,
And I reside in hell.
The devil knows me by my first name,
And I by hers.
Everyday
I find myself doing the same things.
How do I change?
My life is a mess,
But there's no use cleaning it up,
I can't change.

Like a vehicle out of gas,
I wait.
Waiting for somebody to refuel me,
But nobody wants to go to hell.
So I continue to wait,
Seconds turn to minutes,
Minutes turn to hours,
Hours to days,
And days burst into flames.

Through hell I walk alone
But I'm followed by demons,
So I hide in the fire of my memories.
Because my memories scare the demons away,
The light of these flames are blinding me,
So I shield my eyes and wait.
If only the devil would save me again.
