As I Sit at Your Window

I sit at your window, they won't let me in.
My eyes see how lonely you are there within.

As I sit at you window, I can't hold your hand.
I can see you're confused and don't understand.

As I watch and I listen, you talk of your life.
Sharing your struggles, reliving your strife.

As I sit at your window, I want you to know...
Though I cannot embrace you, my heart loves you so!

And though you are lonely and the days grow so long,
You still praise your Maker,
Through word and through song.

One thing I can tell you...Our God has a plan.
He'll never forsake you once you take his hand.

As I walk from your window, your hand waves goodbye,
And you tenderly smile with love in your eyes.

Please know I'll be back. It won't be too long,
Till I sit at your window...That's where I belong.
