As I Walked By

500 miles away from home,
I am walking by.
No one walks besides me,
And I can only sigh.

Through thousands of people I came across,
Many cities passed by.
Still no one joined me,
As I walked by.

Nobody to talk with me,
Nobody to wave me goodbye.
No one to provide me momentoes,
Of cities those passed by.

Sooner or later my journey will end,
And I'll have nothing with me.
Only memories of cities those passed by,
And of people who walked with me.
