As It Rains on Foercheit Lane

Rain kisses my balcony,
Fills the open air I see.
My back yard, an ocean,
Droplets into motion.
I hear songbirds flee,
Which satisfies my notion.
Watch it as the water runs
Down city streets, blockading sun.
A rainbow there will be,
When the raging storm is done.
So, open all your shutters,
And water down your gutters.
Originated beauty,
Restored as nature sputters.
