As One

Four months ago it was Christmas eve
My kids waiting on Santa they still believed

I know they'll be up well before the sun

As the head of the house I swore to protect
my family from harm no matter the threat

I was never a man to lay down or run

The world now faces this deadly disease
We've all come to know as Covid-19

We can beat this together if we all act as one

It has no conscious it takes the young and the old
Just another Grim Reaper stealing our souls

This was one battle that had to be won

How do you fight what you can't even see
The mighty U.S. is down on one knee

In only 4 months look what its done

0nly together will we whether this storm
For these who have passed and these yet to be born

So many have seen their last rising sun

Maybe it'll be called World War 3
Fighting an enemy we can't even see

Victory will come if all act as one
