As the Ship Is Sinking

Listen as they cry,
Listen as they try,
to stay afloat, afloat.

See the men in pain,
See those men, watch in vain,
as they walk down Death's lane,
faster and faster.

Help the men whose ship is sinking,
Help the men whose faith is shrinking,
Help the men whose death is slinking,
nearer and nearer.

As the ship sinks beneath the kelp,
All the sailors continue to call and yelp,
Do you stand and watch, or do you help?
