As the Winds Go By

I feel as if I am starting to die
With every tear and every cry
My life seems to crumble by
I start feeling hollow
With grief and sorrow
My heart beat slowing its pace
I am failing to win this race
Slowly I am diminishing
Slowly I am finishing
With every breath I take
There's a startling little shake
Telling me to let go
But I can't do it, no!
I must never let go of my endless rope
My endless rope with everlasting hope
Someday I'll overcome this grieving pain
And freely walk in the rain
My anger and extremes will collide
As the streams of my tears will start to hide
I will take off the disguise on my face
One day I'll get up and win my race
The sun says goodbye
The moon says hello and hi
As the wind goes by.
