As Time Passes

As I look out of my clear, unobstructed window,
I can see the simple view I have seen for numerous years.
The muddy river flows with ripples and
swift currents that tremble with the beat of my heart.
It stirs my mind and restless soul to tears.
As time passes like the long, winding river,
I realize my aging life is like the water,
and it washes away all my emotions' fears.
