Like glass we break,
Shattered into pieces,
Day turns to night,
The sunlight creases.
The dust of ashes,
From remains long past,
Sift through the narrow tube,
Of this hour glass.

I sit here slowly,
Watching the time pass by,
Day to night and night to day,
With not a single reason why.

If I could sit here forever,
And watch everything unfold,
There would be millions of stories to tell,
And I could be happy as I grow old.

I look at the sky now,
Wishing you were here,
I hold your memories in my heart,
And keep your voice near.

It is a token to remind me,
That never am I alone,
Because with you,
I am never just skin and bone.
