At Crack of Dawn

When I awake at crack of dawn
And glance toward the east.
The fiery sun is rising
And the world is at its peace.

I see the morning glories
Awakening from slumber.
In the distance a rooster crows.
Is six o'clock the number?

Hold on there you night lights.
The stars and moon all chime.
We're tired and we need our rest.
Honestly, it's time!

To no surprise the sun's bright ray
Signals the beginning of a brand new day.
"Wake up sleepyhead and hey there you,
It's time to awaken, there's plenty to do!"

Oh to live in sweet surrender
Of the land our God has given
To see the sunrise in the east
To be grateful to be living.
