At Peace

That July morning you left with the dawn.
Finally done with a life full and long.
You brightened our lives with your wisdom and love,
And still shine upon us now from Heaven above.

Today, though our hearts are heavy with sorrow
The sun will still rise with a brand new tomorrow.
And though we can't see you, you'll always be near.
For death can't diminish a loved one so dear.

We all have a time and we all have a date,
To meet with our maker at Heaven's pearly gate.
Reunited at last with those gone before,
Peaceful and perfect, it's all that and more.

There's no aches or pain, no sadness you'll see.
So grieve not too long for her souls been set free.
Free from the body, for it's but a shell.
A spirit at peace, you lived your life well.
