At the Borders of Memories

At the border of memories
dreams flow out,
and recalling them
sadness rises in my heart.
Where is the carefreeness?
At the border of dreams
Fears arise.
Fear of having it, unmotivated.
Fear of oneself,
that inner demons
won’t be silent.
Communicate with them.
Do you know what terror is?
Hidden it lives
in your own shadow.
Do you recognize disappointment?
You find it in those eyes
with shining tears.
And a lost soul?
You won’t find it.
A broken heart?
In a truth never said.
Trust betrayed?
In chest pain.
A lost lover?
In far off lands.
The joy of living?
lost in worldly things.
