Lump in my throat there to stay.
Classroom, squinting eyes, mocking.
Corridor, oozing poise, stinging.
Color-glazed, groping smiles, reaching.
Call of voice in my head, splitting.

Controlled breathing in effort to recall
Comforting tutorial.

"Panic attacks: what they are and what to do..."
Palpitations present themselves,
Pressure builds behind eyeballs.
Protrusion in throat distends exponentially.
Precursory escape to bathroom imminent.

Lump in my throat there to stay.
Impermanent respite-like vice in shape of pellet.

They are not out to get you.
