The autumn came, a book unfold
The leaves adorned in brilliant gold
You were my story, the one left untold
A legend left in the bitter cold...

The winter covered the earth in frost
All sweet things, by the wind were tossed
Your words of love, forever lost
Your strength had paid the ultimate cost

Though you left us all too soon
In the spring, the flowers bloomed
I waited and waited, then came June
And I held the flowers over your tomb

The summer came and left without you
The warmth and light, you never knew
In the nights I can still feel you
I imagine you watching, as the man on the moon

The autumn will come again this year
And I will be forced, without you here
To continue living, or myself disappear
But in every season, I still see you, my dear
