Autumn Leaves

On one autumn day
while walking through the leaves
The branches of the trees
Seemed as sweaters without sleeves.

My feet made sounds like 'shwoosh"
Through petals on the ground
What a stunning pallet
As I jumped into the mound.

Yellow, purple, red
My crayon could not draw
What a gift for me
These leaves that paint the fall.
