Autumn Winds

Winds of fall announce the end of summer
With a soft soothing, whispering, sweeping sound
They usher in the season of winter
When snow falls on the frosty frozen ground

It's time to harvest the ripe fields of corn
While workers climb ladders to pick apples
A good time for baby calves to be born
It's a fine time for fairs and carnivals

In fall warm breezy weather is perfect
It's neither way too hot nor way too cold
People enjoy this comfortable effect
Verdant leaves turn red, orange, yellow and gold

When Christians behold this glorious change
They know only God could autumn arrange
