Autumn’s Sonnet

Fragile and small
You smell like fresh dirt,
Oh how I wonder if when you fall
Does it hurt
Little Leaf of red and gold
You have fallen in your prime
Left all your stories untold
But no one knows their place or time
And even now as you lie upon the ground
Your beauty is timeless
Your body is sound
Like a fond memory that is precious and dimeless
A lovely leaf beautifully displayed
May be the reason I'm who I am today
