Away

Steal me away
Into the starless night,
Into the moonless night.

Whisk me away
As a victim of your thievery,
As a captive of your piracy.

Sail me away
To the land of magic,
To the land of the fairies.

Wrap me away
In your complicated fancies,
In your unique affections.

Push me away
When I wish for solitude,
When I long for home.

Take me away
To prove your word to me,
To prove your love for me.

Pull me away
From your embrace,
From your promises.

Wave me away
As you sail away.
I’ll pretend
I dreamt you away.
