Baby girl

In sunlights past,
And mine as well
A pair of eyes
Sticky with life,
Open into the world
And a piercing cry
Almost tears the sky
And her baby blue gaze,
grazes the people that surround her
They smile to see her,
Greeting her into such a chaotic world,
Of which she knows not

Her future’s unknown
No fate that is yet set
A path lays before her
It is bright with the life she will bring
And lives filled with change she will place
The bright sun lays in her mind
Keeping her from words
But the light will pass
And she will see,
Truly see the world,
It will be harsh
And she will fall
But I hope she always gets back up
