Back to the theatrics

Lost souls, lost lips,
Reaching out to each other,
With longing, with vulnerability,
With hope, with fear,
Him holding her too tight,
As if he's already losing her,
Caressing her slender back,
She holding on to him,
With intensity uncharacteristic of her,
To claim and reclaim that mutual surrender,
Someone passed by,
Breaking their reverie ,
When they got back to the theatrics.
