Backward to Forward

To here where I belong
I have walked far and long
From forward to backward, backward to forward
Upward and downward
Left to right
Searching for light
Twisting and turning
Internal burning
Hearing my own heartbeats
Down dead-end streets
Off the beaten path
Feeling life's wrath
Finding the darkest of black, fighting back
Through the hurt that burns
Beyond anger that churns
Through a passageway
From another day
To here is where I was meant to be
I can now see
And all has led to this
Finding finally bliss
Comfort and serenity
To discover my identity
Yes, I have walked far and long
To here where I belong
