Bad Habit
I have a bad habit
Everything I love in someone
Can easily be loved in someone else
I never write about how funny she was
Or
How she would shuffle cards
It's always about her eyes and her smile
I write down what I see first
I don't spend enough time on what really is beautiful
These poems turn into nothing more than a canvas themselves
For all we know I could be writing to myself
And not the girl that was so pretty
I was blind to how beautiful she really was
Beautiful
Like her eyes
I have a bad habit…
Everything I love in someone
Can easily be loved in someone else
I never write about how funny she was
Or
How she would shuffle cards
It's always about her eyes and her smile
I write down what I see first
I don't spend enough time on what really is beautiful
These poems turn into nothing more than a canvas themselves
For all we know I could be writing to myself
And not the girl that was so pretty
I was blind to how beautiful she really was
Beautiful
Like her eyes
I have a bad habit…

I noticed while looking through my poems I used to repeat the same things.

Hi! I really enjoyed your poetry. I think poems with beautiful visuals or illustrations are doing really well online these days and often reach a much wider audience. Even with a small investment, adding artwork to your poems can make them more engaging and shareable. I'm a commission-based artist, and I've been creating custom artwork for about 3 years. I'd love to help bring your poems to life with visuals if you're ever interested. You can reach me anytime via em@il: contact.lilaclines@gm@il.com Ig: _lilac_lines_ I'd be happy to chat!
