Bad News Blues

Did you ever realize that bad news blues comes in three?
It has really put me in an emotionally very tight squeeze
First, was waiting for my delayed unemployment money
Second, My freezer quit and I lost some food which wasn't funny

Third, Now due to excessive rain, I'm seeing damp spots coming through my ceilings
Which is leaving me reeling
Wondering oh my God what will happen next to me
Times like this I wish I knew someone with a carpenter degree

I'd already replaced a bad roof seven years ago
How the heck could it get bad that fast, I sure don't know
Where will I get the money, from the money tree in my back yard?
Yes, I really have it that hard, but unfortunately, I don't have much left on my bank card

Trials and tribulations in life are all around us, I guess that's what I get for trusting the wrong people and trying to cut costs
Why do some of us have it harder than others, we are the ones that lost
These people with their job titles, red seal carpenter, we take everything they say at face value and think they are honest and then be left with a disfigured home
I know it doesn't do me any good to groan and moan

I don't know where to go from here, it's not easy to get an honest carpenter
Most don't even have reviews to go by, they are mainly marketers
They are more interested in getting their craft out there
Try to get one to call you back, I know I'm ready to pull out my hair

A sole income owner has only so much money. If only one thing would work out in my life
I've grown very tired and weary over the last 2 months dealing with this strife
I need some good news, if only a kind soul would make things easier
And the sooner the better, please help me so I can feel appeased.
