Ballerina

Long, lean treasure
Awaken the cadence within your soul
Slowly ascend, oh, with such poise you twirl
Step, step, step-with confidence soar and
Brandish your majestic, elongated, stride
Land with mesmerizing grace
Arise again, ascend once more
For every time your strength is shown
Your tender silhouette of toned, slim muscles
Enduring, angelic, exotic creature
Allow your glassy pupils to desiccate
Remember, the spotlight anticipates your presence
Aspire with your divine, tenacious, essence
Beguile the audience with elegance
Porcelain, do not shatter; pale doll, carry on
Painting away your heart
With every move, you convey pain
Yet seduced we are all, but dear
Don't tear apart
Ballerina, never stop dancing.
