My Grandpa’s name is Baltimore
And when he sleeps he loudly snores
I went outside to play because inside was quite boring
But once I turned to look at him, he was quickly snoring

I slowly widened the door, to wake Grandpa Baltimore
But as I tapped him more and more he was still in his snore
For I found a way to wake him up, with the words “ Baltimore”

But there was one day my grandpa was awake
He sat on the rocking chair as the clock struck eight
To me, it was a bit of a surprise but was very sad because I knew he would die

He wanted to stay awake for his kids
For he knew the next day, he would not live
To hear the whisper of “ Baltimore”
As I awake him from his snore
