Baltimore City of Love

Is my city burning?
Hovered with smoke and flames
Ashes on your doorsteps
You don't look the same
The trees drop their leaves
The ground under me shaking
People don't say a word
But the bricks in the walls are screaming
Once you were a beauty
All spoke about you only
You were full of joy
And now you look so lonely
Walking along your streets barefoot
To feel your pain and sorrow
But still keep my dreams
For a better tomorrow
Is my city burning?
Or running down like a stream
Is it really happening?
Or do I dream?
Now after all said and done
From the ark let's send the dove
Let's pray for peace and harmony
Only then you will be called city of love
