Barbie Dolls and Nerf Guns
Two objects in front of me
I must pick one
Which one shall it be
Which one is more likely
The Barbie doll or the Nerf gun
The Barbie Doll, so filled with glee
Smile shines like a star in the night
But is she right for me
Is this what people will now see
It just doesn't seem right
The Nerf gun, as powerful as I please
While playing, foam bullets are like paper against my skin
But that's not what society sees
A rowdy girl with skinned knees
An embarrassment to my kin
With hesitant hands I reach
Shifting between the doll and the gun
I rest my hand on the handle, colored peach
After this, I have only one thing to teach
Your journey has just begun
