Barely Breathing

Day after day I'm gasping for air
The ability to breathe has escaped me
I beg and plead for the air I once knew

I've been promised to be given breathe
These people have broken those promises
They have done nothing but taken my life away

Gasping for breathe
Begging pleading for my life
But this time I've found my ability to breathe

This time it's different
Some kind of irony
I've had my breathe taken away
But I'm still breathing
I've been given my life back

She takes my breathe away
But I'm still breathing
No more begging and pleading for it back
She hasn't promised me life
But she doesn't have to
