Battles in my mind

My mind becomes a satellite at night,
Roaming through stars of
Fear and insecurity.

Running out of fuel away from light,
Blinded by stars of
Hopelessness and shattered dreams.

Stuck in the dark alone with my thoughts,
Surrounded by my voice
Telling me I'm not worth it.

Drowning in a sea of painful words,
But now I see a light
Pulling me to the surface.

The sun rises up, and I feel free.
But it's not for long.
The fuel is running low,
And the waves are growing strong.

But I know the light will return.
