Beat Goes on

"Psychic Pain"
The heart cries
before daylight,
before the eyes see sunlight.
Waiting for the expected,
as though we knew
beforehand.
Death counts,
Uncountable
Tomorrow's pain,
Today is insurmountable.
Who are we?
But the ordinary
Our voice, only walls can hear
We are powerless
Like melancholy loved ones
who can only seek justice
Enslaved
Yet freed, or so it has been said!
