Beautiful Butterflies

We all have our own
Beautiful little butterflies
Free creatures that flutter into our lives
Spreading laughter and lightness
Along their flight path

And all we can do is to let them be
To let them go
To fly ever higher
Because in essence
A trapped butterfly
Cannot ever be

So, it’s the love and lightness
That we take
That we remember
So that we can become
Our own beautiful butterfly
