Beautiful Despair

Purple flowers, panda bears,
Butterflies in the air,
Dreams of beautiful despair
Wander listlessly without care,
Life goes on, we wonder why,
Some should live and some should die,
I know it's hard to say goodbye,
Although for you, I'll surely try.
"It's not fair" I cried in vain,
Tears on my face, my cheeks they stain,
My face as wet as Texas rain.
Nerves are wracked, I smoke the chain.
The pain persists, and rarely fades,
Always present, never changed.
Begging God to make a trade,
It seems to me he most evades.
This becomes the norm as days go by,
And yet and still I wonder why;
Purple flowers, panda bears,
Butterflies in the air,
My dreams of you are beautiful despair.
