Beautiful in the Ugly

He's a tree,
So beautiful, yet so sad.
He's a tree,
So important, but doesn't know it.
He's a tree,
So giving, yet all they do is take.

She's a flower,
So fragile, yet so tough.
She's a flower,
So vital, but no one cares to tell her.
She's a flower,
So caring, yet no one stays long enough to realize it.

They are both so very different, yet so similar.
They both want love, but are too broken to have it.
They both are beautiful things deep in the roots of the ugly world.
