Beautiful Sadness

Escaping eyes,
Rolling over flushed cheeks
Over parted lips, past chins, down necks
Soft, small, light
They sparkle and shine,
Delicately covering your face
They fall to the floor
When they hit the ground they make a silent splash
A long, flowing, river trailing over the floorboards
They are brilliant, undetermined
Their deep meaning hidden inside
Only the person letting go of these emotions knows
They may be in your eyes for days, weeks, months,
But only arrive when there is a breaking point
Whatever that point may be,
Never lose faith or give up hope
There is always a rainbow after a storm
