Beauty and the Beach

The sand runs through my fingers,
The sun beats on my back,
The tide ebbs and flows,
The gulls encircle above my head,
The crab walks aimlessly by;
I close my restless eyes
And breathe in the salty air,
Let the gentle wind entangle my curly hair;
The palm trees sway back and forth,
The faint sound of music is heard;
My mind is at ease, no cares or worries,
Nothing to fear.
I am in sheer ecstasy
For I belong here.
