Beauty and the Beast

Only she could tame my demons,
She saw past my flaws
And accepted me for me;
She knew I had struggles.

Only she could tell when something was wrong,
I couldn't lie to her,
For she already knew the truth;
She saw through my troubled past,

Only she could see what I failed to see in myself,
For when I looked in the mirror,
I saw a beast that was incapable of being loved,
But when she saw me, she saw the good.

Only she could make my bad days turn good;
When she smiles my heart skips a beat.
When I see her beautiful hazel eyes,
I think to myself, "Oh what beauty."
